I’m not a big fan of ghostly stories, however, I picked up this book and then couldn’t put it down. Ther was a lot of suspense, drama, and ghostly sightings. A murder was also included. A very pleasant read.

Loved the development of the characters; especially Marie who went from accepting where she was in life to forging a new life, the life she’d always wanted, with a bit of help from her great aunt June. Starting a new business, ghost hunting, romance, and a “who dunnit” murder mystery round out Marie’s new and very full life, along with figuring out June’s “surprise.” Fun & delightful book which was a pleasure to read. The story line was pretty good but lacked believability. No one runs a successful b&b and has any free time like she did. Her traipsing around trying to solve the murder was very inconsistent. I enjoyed the story anyway. Thanks g

Haphazardly written

There is a mystery sister in the first chapter that never shows up again, even at a family funeral. There are adjectives and adverbs used twice in the same sentence, and three times in the same paragraph. It was ok, I’m just surprised this author has written so many books, when it comes off like a novice was dabbling at writing.

Thoroughly delightful beginning to a series I look forward to continuing. The setting is fun and picturesque, the characters are fun and interesting. Just enough mystery and relationship issues to keep a reader doubly-intrigued, and minimum of violence. The dog is a great addition and adds a fun twist to the story.

Loved this book! Marie takes us on a fun exploration when she loses her beloved Great Aunt and is left an inheritance in the Victorian home that seems to possibly have spirits remaining from its past.. this and a dog named Boo Can’t wait for more!

I’m hooked! Right from the very start, too! The characters are likable and real. The dog, Boo, is as sweet as can be and very sensitive to things around him. So cool! I loved how things played out regarding the murder. And what a way to die...yikes!
